McHumba
Our class pet's name comes from the African language and translates to "Sweetheart". I chose that name for him because I figured no one could be afraid of a sweetheart. He is a royal python more commonly referred to as a "ball" python. Ball pythons are very docile and get their name from the fact that when they feel threatened, they curl up into a tight "ball". If your interest is piqued, the following websites will provide you will additional information about ball pythons. You can also stop by and ask me questions anytime.
