About Mr. Beilke
I was born in Beaver Dam, WI, but grew up in Mankato, MN. My family growing up consisted of 5 brothers and 1 sister. My parents, Steven and Susan Beilke, graduated from DMLC and are both educators at Mt. Olive Lutheran (ELS) in Mankato, MN.
I graduated from Minnesota Valley Lutheran HS in 2001. It was at MVL that I met my wife Sarah (Gronholz). Sarah’s parents also graduated from DMLC. Her father served in many positions before retiring from Martin Luther College and her mother is a Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics. Sarah has one brother and two sisters. Sarah and I were married in 2004 and have three awesome daughters - Katherine (12) Chloe (10) Phoebe (8) and a son - Silas (5).
Sarah and I both graduated from Martin Luther College (one of the premier education schools in the nation) in 2005 and hold Bachelor of Science degrees in Elementary education. While at MLC my area of emphasis was social studies. I really enjoy ancient history, but have grown to love American History as well. I love to learn and have furthered my education through attending conferences, workshops, and through reading education publications. I have received SMARTboard certification, obtained an archery instructor certificate (NASP), completed an Administrator Candidate Training program, and participated in several School Leadership Development Modules offered by the WELS. I also completed a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership through Martin Luther College.
I have served as an administrator and upper grade teacher for the past 15 years. Three of those years were spent at our WELS school in Los Angeles, California where I taught in a multicultural, multi grade setting. I then accepted a call to serve St. Paul's in Mt. Calvary, WI as principal and 7-8th grade teacher. After that, I served as principal and 5-6th grade teacher at Salem in Greenfield, MN. My current role at Grace is to serve as the Principal and upper level math instructor.
In my free time I enjoy disc golf, fantasy football, and curling up with a good movie. I will always cheer for the Vikings, Twins, Wild, Gophers, and T-Wolves (even though they can be hard to watch).
